About Alliance Fund Managers
AFM is a leading regional fund management company with a total of £141m funds under management and four currently investing funds totalling £107m. All current funds belong to the MSIF Group.
The Company
Initially each MSIF Fund was run completely separately by three independent fund managers. A more unified approach was required in order to maximise the Funds’ impact and begin generating good returns to go towards creating a successor Fund. Having considered using one of the existing managers (and some other established managers) to run the entire suite of funds MSIF decided to appoint its own fund management company and Alliance Fund Managers was set up.
Some staff transferred from the existing fund managers and MSIF to AFM . Their expertise was combined with new talent to create a highly skilled team which works together closely to provide businesses with a unique range of finance and business support services.
Since AFM's involvement, MSIF has made the successful transition from being perceived as a lender of last resort to becoming one of the first ports of call for businesses looking for investment. AFM has been involved in some large and very successful deals and has a key role within the North West financial services industry.
