AFM is a leading regional fund management company with funds totalling around £149m under current management.
Currently AFM manages the Northwest Small Loans for Business Investment Fund on Merseyside which provides loans from £3k to £50k to to SMEs, including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. We can provide stand alone finance or as part of a package with banks and other funding providers such as invoice discounters. The product now also includes the retail sector.
AFM is also the fund manager for Merseyside Special Investment Fund’s (MSIF) Group of Funds- the largest regional fund in the UK.
MSIF’s Funds ceased investing on 31st December 2008. Prior to this AFM managed investments through the 9 different MSIF Funds.
These Funds provided seed, loan, mezzanine and equity finance. AFM’s role now is to manage the entire investment portfolio by providing support to investee companies to maximise their chance of success and fulfill MSIF’s main objective; to create a long term sustainable impact on the region’s economy. Successful investments will also ensure that money is returned to MSIF to create a separate Legacy Fund.
This Fund will continue to invest in new and growing SMEs on Merseyside.
