About Alliance Fund Managers
AFM is a leading regional fund management company with funds totalling around £149m under current management.
There are currently two actively investing funds which are managed on behalf of the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA); the Interim Loan Fund which totals £4m and the Small Business Loan Fund which totals £3.6m. These funds invest in new and growing SMEs throughout the North West region including Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside.
AFM is also the fund manager for Merseyside Special Investment Fund’s (MSIF) Group of Funds- the largest regional fund in the UK.
MSIF’s Funds ceased investing on 31st December 2008. Prior to this AFM managed investments through the 9 different MSIF Funds.
These Funds provided seed, loan, meazzanine and equity finance. AFM’s role now is to manage the entire investment portfolio by providing support to investee companies to maximise their chance of success and fulfill MSIF’s main objective; to create a long term sustainable impact on the region’s economy. Successful investments will also ensure that money is returned to MSIF to create a separate Legacy Fund.
This Fund will continue to invest in new and growing SMEs on Merseyside.
