NWDA Interim Loan Fund

The NWDA’s Interim Loan Fund totals £4m which is made up of £2m from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and £2m from the NWDA.

The Interim Loan Fund provides loans from £50k to £250k to SMEs based in the North West region (Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside) which are experiencing difficulty in securing debt finance from traditional sources.

Capital can be used to assist with start ups, spin outs, early stage, growth and expansions. There are some restrictions on sectors. Applicants will need to provide a detailed business plan and be able to demonstrate their ability to repay the loan. To apply you will need to complete an on line application form.

NWDA Small Business Loan Fund

AFM manages the Merseyside element of the NWDA’s Small Business Loan Fund. The total amount available for investment in Merseyside is £3.6m and is made up of money from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and £1.8m and the NWDA.

The Small Business Loan Fund provides loans from £3k to £50k to SMEs based in Merseyside (Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral) which are experiencing difficulty in securing debt finance from traditional sources. Capital can be used to assist with start ups, spin outs, early stage, growth and expansions. There are some restrictions on sectors. Applicants will need to provide a detailed business plan and be able to demonstrate their ability to repay the loan. To apply you will need to complete an on line application form.
