Funding Package Signals Expansion for Bellview

A Liverpool business that supplies linen to some of the city’s top hotels and restaurants is expanding with backing from Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF).
Bellview Textile Services Limited provides high quality table, bed and bath linen and a complete laundry, packing and delivery service. Each customer has their own dedicated stock that is made to meet their exact requirements. The company also supplies personalised chef uniforms and offer a valet service for hotel guests.
Clients include, Hope Street Hotel, The London Carriageworks, 60 Hope Street and The Liner.
Bellview has raised a funding package totalling more than £200k, which includes a £50k loan from MSIF’s Small Firms Fund and director’s own investment.
The company, which was founded in 1984 and was bought by the current Managing Director, Mark Slater two years ago has recently moved from its old site in Garston to new premises on Speke Boulevard.
Mr Slater said: “The Capital of Culture has meant a boom for the local hospitality industry and we have lots of new business in the pipeline.
“The money from MSIF has enabled us to relocate to larger premises and buy new state-of-the-art machinery that will increase efficiency and give us capacity to take on more contracts which is crucial to grow the business.
Carol Bolland, Investment Manager of MSIF’s Small Firms Fund said: “Mark has a wealth of industry experience and the company has a proven track record with a loyal customer base. We are pleased to be supporting Bellview through this exciting growth phase.”
The company currently employs five staff and this figure is expected to double within the next two years. Turnover last year reached £468k and it is thought this will rise to £1.4m in two years.
