MSIF Investment Director Scoops Top Accolade at Insider Liverpool Professional Awards

Malcolm Jones, investment director of MSIF's £20m Mezzanine Fund received a Lifetime Achievement Award at Insider's Liverpool Professional Awards which took place last night.
Managing partner of DLA Piper Philip Rooney who presented the Award said: "He has committed his entire career to Liverpool and has been loyal to the city throughout its highs and lows. He has invested and attracted millions of pounds to local businesses and has contributed to Liverpool becoming a centre of excellence.”
Mark Fuller managing director of MSIF's fund manager said "We are proud to have an experienced and respected figure such as Malcolm as part of the MSIF team. His enthusiasm and drive is phenomenal and he is a fantastic asset to this business. This award demonstrates that the Liverpool professional community also recognises his numerous attributes and the work he has done for this city - he thoroughly deserves it."
Malcolm's career spans stints at Martins Bank and Barclays, and a secondment to Michael Heseltine’s taskforce following the Toxteth riots. He joined MSIF in 2002 to head up its Mezzanine Fund.
Matt Allen, investment director of MSIF's Venture Fund was shortlisted in both the Young Professional and Dealmakers categories.
The Liverpool Professionals Awards recognise the contribution of professionals to the city region’s present success and future prosperity. More than 350 people attended the black-tie dinner held at the Crowne Plaza.
